Video: How The Ghirls Went Up To Lift The SWPL Cup

Tonight was a historic evening as Celtic FC Women lifted the SWPL Cup by defeating Glasgow City in front of 3645 fans at Firhill.

The match was shown live on BBC Alba and Fran Alonso’s girls performed excellently in front of the cameras to win the trophy.

Caitlin Hayes’ bullet header, from Harkes’ expertly delivered free kick, in the first half was the difference between the teams. Here’s how it happened:

Congratulations to the women, who have led the way with League Cup glory. Ange Postecoglou’s men now have the chance to replicate that achievement later this month.
