Ange Postecoglou sealed three signings before the January window with Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi arriving from the J-League. The club are also pursuing permanent deals for Cameron Carter-Vickers and Jota as the manager looks to strengthen the squad in his image. However, Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph has updated to say that the focus has moved from acquisitions to sales.
Vasilis Barkas and Boli Bolingoli are two players that are available in January. Although, Celtic will likely entertain offers for fringe duo Albian Ajeti and Ismaila Soro. Neither appears to be in the manager’s plans and Celtic could look to recoup some of the transfer fees that were paid out for the pair. The manager is keen on streamlining his squad and reducing those on high wages in the fringes of his team. The Athletic’s Kieran Devlin has already suggested that the club are keen to ship out fringe players during the window.
Ewan Henderson and Liam Shaw were loaned out today, with Henderson leaving on a permanent basis in the summer. Leigh Griffiths returned to training with Dundee, despite speculation that his loan at Dens Park could be ended. The 31-year-old is into the final half of his contract at Celtic and will leave in the summer.
There will likely be more departures as the month continues, hopefully, more going to Premiership rivals for their development as well as an opportunity to help take points off of theRangers.

Two birds with one stone loan barkas and ajeti to the rangers if nothing else their value will soar as does everyone’s associated with that club
