Whilst much of the plaudits today were for Jota’s goal, Greg Taylor’s performance, or the excellent pre-match tifo organised by The Green Brigade, one thing that has gone under the radar was Grace by Liam McGrandles.
McGrandles, armed with his guitar, was positioned by the Jock Stein Stand and played Grace and Let The People Sing in his two-song set. The performance was spectacular and the whole stadium sang the anthem in unison. It was a truly remarkable experience. The anthem about 1916 leader Joseph Plunkett and his doomed marriage with Grace Gifford is a much-loved ballad and often very emotive.
A supporter recorded the spine-tingling performance and made it available for supporters that were unable to attend to enjoy.

It begs the question regarding Celtic’s pre-match activities. McGrandles is a regular feature in the Kerrydale Lounge and also appears pitchside from time to time. The singer should be invited to perform live at home games as he has the ability to capture the entire support with his music. The Kerrydale is now for Season Ticket Holders who have purchased this option; however, the club have said that they are working to set up a new supporters bar. Until that time, the club should be making sure that McGrandles and his music are present on matchdays pitchside.

Morning Gossip: Despite good win Ange knows we have to be more ruthless and take our chances “Overall, a decent performance but I thought we were wasteful in front of goal or could have been a bit more clinical, You can be patient, but if there’s chances there you take them."
