Livingston match re-arranged date confirmed by Celtic

Celtic have announced the re-arranged date for the home Scottish Premiership match against Livingston that was cancelled earlier this month due to the death of the Queen.

The game will now be played at Celtic Park on Wednesday 21 December, just ahead of the home game against St Johnstone on Christmas Eve. Celtic’s first match back after the break for the World Cup will be at Pittodrie a week earlier, on Saturday 17 December, that’s the day before the World Cup Final. If it’s a Croatia v Japan final we’ll have something to worry about!

That match against Aberdeen is almost a month after the previous match, against Everton at the Accor Stadium in Sydney Olypmic Park on 20 November. World Cup or no World Cup that’s a long time with no Celtic! Maybe the B-Team and Celtic FC Women will play a few games at Celtic Park to fill the void?

The final Celtic match of 2022 is a trip to Edinburgh to play Hibs at Easter Road on Wednesday 28 December and for the first game of 2023, we’re at Ibrox on 2 January to first-foot theRangers.
