A Delivery Of Celtic Icons, Following Greatest Celts Pre-Lisbon Chat

Recently, on The Celtic Star YouTube channel, three of our writers discussed the greatest Celtic players between 1888 and 1967.

In a video hosted by this website’s editor, we each came up with a greatest pre-Lisbon XI – mentioning a number of great players from a range of decades.

To aid the discussion, much to the amusement of the other participants, I held aloft some Celtic icon cards depicting James Kelly, Patsy Gallacher, James McGrory, Jimmy Quinn and Charlie Tully. These were cards that I had previously purchased from @Celticcurio on Twitter, as part of the various sets he has on sale.

Having viewed the video himself, Celtic Curio sent me a surprise delivery this week. The cards featured a number of other players that were mentioned in our discussion – many Celtic legends included.

Celtic Curio now has an 8 player set of Celtic icons due out Wednesday 23 February, with a follow up 5 player set to be released in March. That will take the overall icons to 50 and a fabulous close.

Each card features some information on goals and appearances, or honours won. Some even include a nickname.

Visit @Celticcurio on Twitter for further details on how to purchase, and be sure to check out our pre-Lisbon discussion on YouTube to find out more about some of the players he depicts so artistically.

Remember to subscribe to the channel if you like what you see!
