A Night Of International Solidarity – Friday Fundraiser

Last Friday, Celtic Away Days presented an evening of Irish music through the Left Wing Badges Facebook page. Titled Rebels For Foodbanks, the night raised an exceptional amount of money for local causes from Derry to Glasgow.

This Friday, it’s a night of international solidarity, as the page brings another evening of entertainment with anti-fascists in Rome, Milan and Naples as the benefactors.

Italy has been hit incredibly hard by the Covid-19 outbreak and they are in dire need of support to distribute food, masks, sanitizer and gloves etc. Many Celtic fans will be familiar with the anti-fascist centres in Milan and Rome, where gigs were held for away supporters the night before the Hoops played Inter Milan and Lazio, respectively. A lot of the money raised from those nights is being used to assist locals in the region. However, our support is further required.

Here is a message from one of the centres in Milan concerning the Friday night event.

Wee message from comrades in Milan about the work they are doing on the ground and thanking everyone for Friday nights “From The Rebels To The Brigades” International Solidarity fundraiser. There’s still slots to pick a song you want played and get a shout out for £10 plus our Gofundme page to donate whatever you can thanks to @Giacko93 for making the videohttps://www.gofundme.com/f/from-rebels-to-brigades?utm_medium=email&utm_source=product&utm_campaign=p_email%2B4803-donation-alert-v5
