Despite this being one of the most frustrating and heart-stopping seasons in decades, the race for the flag is nothing if not exciting.
Shades of ’86 come to mind as we’ve watched an ordinary Celtic squad chase down a very decent Hearts outfit for months, and we hope upon hope that the big finish we witnessed from The Maestro, Danny, The Bear, and McClair will come around again.
It’s a unanimous decision among the faithful that the Celtic Board’s lame appointment of Wilfried Nancy backfired spectacularly, leaving Martin O’Neill, Shaun Maloney and Fozzie to dredge through the embers of mediocrity, and crush the coal into diamonds.

We may not be The jewel in the Scots Crown quite yet, but, should Celtic beat Hearts and the Rangers in the coming weeks to overcome the odds and retain our Title, we will celebrate like Kings and Queens all over the world.
Both Celtic and Hearts have some of their best players ready to return after the split, and this will only add intensity to this great race.
Many of us gave up weeks ago when we capitulated in less than grand fashion in game after game. Whilst Celtic players were played out of position, new recruits who did not fit the jersey had us holding our hands in our heads. It was desperate.
Guilty as charged M’Lord
Now, under Martin’s tutelage, our formation has been normalised, and our desire to win has accelerated. It should always have been thus; however, we were failed by the grey men; you know who they are! Guilty as charged M’Lord.
The strength and experience of this revitalised squad should see us over the line in the weeks to come, but only if we turn up for 90 minutes in every single match.
We have Hearts, at Parkhead. We have the Rangers, at Paradise. Our capitulations to both at the same venue this season were under Nancy. Now, on St Patrick’s Day we can point out that we have O’Neill. This brings us new hope, and revived dreams of Championship glory.
