Abada Injury woes gives a tremendous opportunity to Yang

Liel Abada has apparently pulled out of international duty with Israel after picking up an injury in training. The extent of the injury is unknown at the moment but the prognosis is that the winger will be out for at least a month.

That’s of course a blow as he’ll miss some important games both domestically and in Europe. Even more so for the player himself as he was just starting to come into some good form.

Liel’s woe will however present a tremendous opportunity for new summer signing Yang. The South Korean winger has looked more than decent in his few outings so far. His form has even impressed national team boss Jurgen Klinsmann who included him in his recent squad resulting in him making an appearance from the bench against Wales in midweek.

Yang will get the chance to impress in Liel’s absence and it’s one he’s got to grab with both hands. Unless of course Brendan slots new boy Luis Palma into the left side and puts Daizen Maeda out on the right, it’s a possibility, but we would be more affective with someone of yangs quality on the flank.

With Marco Tilio also on the comeback trail it’s a golden opportunity for Yang to solidify a place in the starting XI and maybe even get a start in the Champions League which starts a week on Tuesday in Rotterdam.
