Aberdeen’s Bojan Miovski should be on Celtic’s radar

Bojan Miovski looks impressive. Is he a player who should be on Celtic’s radar?

Aberdeen’s Bojan Miovski is a player who continues to impress. The North Macedonian striker has found the back of the net 26 times in 55 games while providing five assists for the Dons in just over a year at the club, with eight of those goals coming already in all competitions this season.

He’s a big robust target man who’s also great with the ball at his feet, something that would benefit our side. Of course we have Oh, but he’s still young and learning, while Miovski is a bit older and has more experience of our game and the European scene in general.

If he keeps up his good form more than a few clubs will be keeping tabs on him. Our Champions league rivals Lazio were rumoured to have been sniffing around him not so long ago. Will Celtic have a vested interest?

Let’s hope so. Sometimes we turn our noses up at players from within our own game, but we’ve had some gems throughout the years who we’ve purchased from fellow SPFL sides.

Miovski is a player who I think would perfectly complement our forward line. A fair criticism of our side is that we are lacking a clinical poacher and the North Macedonian is a man who could provide that, but it’s only one man’s opinion that count and that’s Brendan.

We are in need of a centre forward, a position Brendan himself was keen to bolster during the last window. The names of Mathias Kvistaarden of Brondy and Sydney Van Hoojidonk of Bologna were heavily mentioned. Could the answer be closer to home in the shape of Miovski?
