We all accept that every player isn’t going to go through their Celtic career on a constant run of great form and confidence, but it’s important to manage that situation properly.
Ryan Christie has been struggling for a while now and you can see his confidence is shot, but he’s also the kind of player who will still try to get on the ball and make things happen.
He does deserve praise for not hiding and still trying to help the team, but it also highlights how bad he’s been at times and he really needs a spell out of the team.
Frank McAvennie recently claimed that he should be dropped for today, but he felt that Kennedy would take the easy way out and Elyounoussi would be left out instead because he’s a loanee.
Thankfully, that isn’t the case today:

It should be best for everyone as Christie can get a break, while the other players who deserve to play aren’t being left out either, so it’s understandable that it’s gone down well with the fans:
