“Absolute Magic” John Hartson on Celtic’s Christmas video

Celtic released their annual Christmas video for 2022 today and it has been received well by the Celtic Family. The tagline this year is ‘Share the Magic’, which has a wonderful feel to it. It features many of the Celtic squad including club captain Callum McGregor and goalkeeper Joe Hart.

It’s just another addition to the feel-good vibe that currently inhabits the Celtic universe at present. With the Bhoys sitting pretty at the ‘top of the League looking down on theRangers‘, our NINE point gap that we have managed to put between ourselves and second place will make the festive period even more fun.

Across the city, the wailing and nashing of the teeth is in full swing as the latest Ibrox club’s AGM is on the horizon. Gio van Bronckhorst is on borrowed time over there, but the pertinent fact remains that they cannot really afford to part company with the flailing Dutchman and his group of backroom staff.

Meanwhile, the Hoops have managed to secure another money-spinning PR adventure Down Under. It’s thought that the money this Sydney Super Cup could swell the coffers by could be anywhere between £6-10 million. A remarkable triumph when you consider the litigation that awaits the latest Govan club for pulling out of their contractual agreement. It seems those fleeting delusions of adequacy have seeped into their thinking once again.

Anyway, as Celtic released their new Christmas advert to the masses, there was plenty of delight that greeted it this year as the magic was well and truly present. So much so, that even legends have admitted to feeling that lovely warm glow of being nine clear in the Scottish Premiership…

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
