On the face of it, a 1-1 draw away from home in a European knock out tie is a positive result, but things could’ve been so much better.
Celtic completely dominated in the first half and really should’ve been more than 1-0 up, but Odsonne Edouard showed his class at this level again with a delightful dink to open the scoring.

While that first half was brilliant, they looked completely off the pace in the second half and needed Fraser Forster to come up with a big penalty save to keep it level.
We might look back on this in a few days with more happiness, but it’s fair to say that these fans on Twitter are not happy with what they saw after the break tonight:
Positive result to take back to Glasgow. But that second half performance was absolutely abysmal

Frimpong brutally exposed at this level. Hayes awful again and there is no justification for him starting. Lennon’s management in that second was terrible.
This tie could be over.

Absolutely rubbish second half, we are becoming long ball merchants in Europe which is terrible to watch, and please do not buy Elyanoussi he is a myth, will be our Ryan Kent moment if we do

We could & should have won. Very, very complacent second half & are lucky to be leaving with a draw.
All being said it’s still a positive result & let’s get the job done next week!

1st half the game should’ve been won, score draw & an away goal is the best we’d get given that 2nd half. Some save from FF, we need a capacity crowd rocking next Thursday, let’s keep making history, focus back on the league on Sunday, unbeaten in 2020, let’s keep it going 🍀

Players too greedy all night. Forrest allergic to jumping, tackling and passing.

How can you be in such control first 45 to then be so abysmal in the second?? Anyway, wouldve taken a 1-1 at the start so fair enough.
— James McErlean (@jamesmcerlean12) February 20, 2020
As long as Neil Lennon can find a way through the tie then most of this should be forgiven, but there’s no chance that this type of performance will be good enough if they do go through and face a better side.
It’s clear that various players are getting the blame for the result as well, so it probably needs to go down as a poor team performance rather than focusing on one person.
