Academy Players under The Celtic Star Spotlight – Dylan Corr, Under 18 Squad

The Celtic Star is proud to support The Celtic Academy and one of the initiatives we are involved in is helping to introduce the young Celtic stars of the future to the world of the media. So often this can be a minefield for young players and clubs like Celtic are mindful of this and do as much as possible to advise and educate so that the Bhoys don’t stray into unchartered territory as far as the mainstream media is concerned.

We started this series last weekend when he published an short Q&A session with Ben Doak, who as you know was on the bench at Tynecastle on Wednesday night and is a big talent who will hopefully be signing his first professional contract with Celtic shortly, amid interest from the likes of Liverpool. This evening the focus turns to Dylan Corr as we put him under The Celtic Star Spotlight. Dylan is a key member of the Under 18 side but has stepped up recently to play for Tommy McIntyre’s Celtic FC B side in the Lowland league. The 18 year old defender signed his first professional contract with the club at the end of last season.

How long have you been part of the Academy? Ten years.

What is your preferred position? Centre Back.

All-time favourite Celtic player and why? Scott Brown, leader and legend of the club.

All-time favourite non-Celtic player and why? Cristiano Ronaldo, has always been my idol since I was young.

Three things you are good at other than football? Golf, Tennis and Basketball.

How would you celebrate your first goal for the first team? Knee slide.

The most embarrassing thing you’ve ever done or worn is? Slipped in the changing room coming out of the shower!

Describe your favourite kind of music and recommend a song for us to enjoy? Rap, Run This Town.

Who has been the biggest influence on your playing career? My dad who is always there for me and gives me advice.

Describe playing for Celtic in three words? Path for opportunity.
