Ajax close in on €10m deal for Kasper Dolberg as Celtic admit defeat

Ajax are closing in on a deal to sign Celtic target Kasper Dolberg. The 27-year-old has been the subject of a number of bids from Celtic but no breakthrough has been forthcoming leaving the door open for Ajax to swoop in for their former player.

In an update from Danish media outlet Tipsbladet, Ajax are close to signing the striker in a deal worth €10m. The player will complete a medical with the Amsterdam club as the clubs iron out add-ons.

Celtic have reportedly given up on their pursuit of Dolberg with Anthony Joseph stating that the Scottish Champions have admitted defeat in their attempt to sign the Dane.

Celtic have sanctioned Adam Idah’s departure but it remains to be seen whether or not a replacement has been found. The Scottish Champions now find themselves requiring two strikers and a winger in the final hours of the window.

  1. So he played us! 🤷🏼‍♂️ Move on. I for one don’t want a player who doesn’t want to be playing for us!

Kuhn was like that at the tail end of last season and that attitude is a cancer in the dressing room!
