Ajeti’s delight at goal, admits fitness concerns

Albian Ajeti has admitted that he has been struggling for fitness in the last few months as the Swiss striker found himself on the scoresheet after an impressive second half last night. Ajeti, a £5m summer acquisition from West Ham, won a penalty for the team before scoring himself in the dying embers of the match.

Speaking to Celtic TV, the player said he was delighted to score but that he hoped to keep his fitness and continue scoring goals for the team.

Speaking to Sky, Ajeti said he was thankful to get the result for the fans to prove themselves. He detailed some muscle injuries that have been limiting his game time so far this season.

Ajeti spoke very well following the game and hopefully if he can get himself up to speed, a partnership between Ajeti and Edouard may be able to flourish as we head towards the conclusion of the season.
