Alan Brazil calls Morelos a ‘clown’, believes Celtic will still win the Premiership

It is safe to say that Celtic were dominated in their own backyard by the Rangers on Sunday, in their first derby loss at Parkhead since 2010. But that does not mean that they could not have come out with a result on the day. In fact, if the Hoops had taken their moments well, they might have even won the game despite the Rangers being the better team on the pitch.

Ryan Christie missed the chance to go ahead from the penalty spot with McGregor doing brilliantly to save the spot-kick. And then Christopher Jullien saw a bullet header being cleared off the line. The second goal that they conceded was also easily preventable with Katic being left completely free to head home the winner. And now as the dust settles, it is important that the club does not panic and instead looks at how they can improve so that this performance is not repeated in the future.

Following the match, Alan Brazil launched an attack on Alfredo Morelos while also backing Celtic to retain the Premiership. While talking on Alan Brazil’s Sports Breakfast Show on talkSPORT, the pundit said:

“Morelos again. He’s a clown. I don’t know what’s wrong with the guy – No, I think Celtic will still win the title. They are still two points clear, by the way. Rangers will slip-up. I am going to get slaughtered by Celtic fans, but we need Rangers back, we need a fight right until the end.”

Alfredo Morelos created huge controversy on the day for his slit-throat gesture towards the Celtic fans. After seeing a number of good scoring chances go begging at his feet, the Colombian was sent off in the 96th minute for diving. And the disciplinary body is expected to hit him with some heavy punishment for his actions.
