Allan McGregor has embarrassed himself with comments about sporting integrity made ahead of Rangers match against St Mirren. Celtic were the first club to call for the winter break to be brought forward following the Scottish Government’s decision to cut football capacities to just 500 meaning that just 500 Celtic fans would be in attendance for the scheduled game on 2 January at Celtic Park – an enormous difference from the full house at Ibrox at the start of the season.
Although, remarkably, McGregor has question the motivations of other clubs, casting doubt on their sporting integrity. The fact that McGregor was so keen to have the games played would likely be that his side were due to face Aberdeen at Pittodrie and Celtic at Celtic Park – both which would have been sell-outs.
🗣️”We all know sporting integrity is one of the biggest things in Scotland. I don’t see why we just didn’t go on as planned.”

McGregor, who has often been caught out for violent conduct, left Rangers in 2012 as they were in the process of liquidation. In future, McGregor should probably think about making comments about sporting integrity when his team were so loud about the March 2020 shutdown and how playing without fans was not what anyone wanted.
Celtic voted have an early break knowing that we would have no Kyogo or Rogic available to try and allow fans into the stadium.
Rangers voted to play infront of no fans to try and gain a sporting advantage. They wanted to go to Aberdeen and Celtic and play in empty stadiums
