“Ally loves Big Ange… Ally wants to be a Celtic man,” Sutton roasts McCoist

A marvellous rant from big Chris Sutton to enjoy from his Friday chat on BT Sport Scottish Football Extra as he defends the jovial criticism aimed at him for getting his predicted Celtic team selection wrong for the visit to Ibrox last Sunday, where Sutton opted to leave Tom Rogic out of the side.

Darrell Currie revelled in this in his attempt to rib big Sutton but even he knew what was coming in the response. And Ally McCoist also knew he had no alternative but to sit there and face the music from big Sutton who managed to combine both 2022 Skelpings into the one rant and also made sure that McCoist’s big cuddle with Ange ahead of the match was mentioned.

“Ally loves Big Ange… Ally wants to be a Celtic man, we know that. He LOVES Celtic!”

You’ll smile your way through this one. Enjoy!

McCoist also provided an explanation on his ‘Ange hug’ at Ibrox last weekend. “I met Ange for the first time before the game, I wished him all the very best.

“He said ‘do you mean that?’

“I said ‘not really, no, you know fine well I don’t.’

“That’s exactly how it went, actually! He was in great form, I have to say.

“His team continued the form he was on in that particular game because Celtic were comfortable.”
