Alfredo Morelos’ record in the Glasgow Derby is…horrific, to say the least.
The Colombian striker went 12 games without scoring against Brendan Rodgers and Neil Lennon, with a comedy of errors clouding his record against the Hoops who laughed every single time he played against us.
He has only scored 2 in six since, citing a huge mental block in his game.
Granted, Kyogo hasn’t scored against theRangers yet, but after just one appearance in a side that was still in transition under Ange, that can be let off.
Of course, this article will render useless if Kyogo fails to score in 12 consecutive derbies like Morelos, but that won’t happen.
Yet Ally McCoist seems to think that Morelos will be a bigger miss than Kyogo in Wednesday night’s tie due to the dreadful form of Cedric Itten.
“Having seen Rangers recently I would say Morelos looks a bigger loss to Rangers, at this moment in time, than Kyogo does to Celtic,” McCoist told talkSPORT.
“That’s not saying anything detrimental against Kyogo, who’s been absolutely different class.
“But I just think Cedric Itten is taking a little bit of time to settle back in and I think that would be a concern for Rangers.
“He might even start with Roofe tonight instead of Itten.
“Bit Morelos is a big, big miss for Rangers. Obviously Kyogo is a massive miss too.”
It seems to me that the excuses are in already from theRangers and their fans. Time to stick it to them tonight, Bhoys.
