Ange Postecoglou – Optus Sports’ unmissable Interview with the Celtic manager

This will be an interview not to be missed.

Ange Postecoglou has been speaking to former Socceroo’s and English Premier League goalkeeper Marc Schwarzer, himself an outspoken critic of the standard of Scottish football as well as Celtic playmaker Tom Rogic, for Australian broadcaster Optus Sports.

It promises to be an intriguing interview, after all Ange Postecoglou has shown himself to be far more relaxed and open when speaking to the Australian media than he is with the tiresome questioning he receives from the mainstream media in Scotland – and although he appears far more relaxed when questioned by Celtic Fan Media, it is likely the Celtic manager’s guard will be down further still when interviewed by Schwarzer.

The interview itself will be available following the link below from 10am today with Optus confirming some of the subjects the Celtic manager will discuss.

‘Legendary Australian manager Ange Postecoglou shares with Mark Schwarzer everything from moving his family from Japan to Scotland, the magnitude of the Celtic job, Socceroos World Cup hopes and proving himself to his critics worldwide.’

These interviews with Australian media are always a good watch, as it often allows an insight into Ange Postecoglou we don’t always see when he’s in front of the Scottish media. This time out it will also have another intriguing element added to the mix – will Mark Schwarzer back down or double down on his opinions on Scottish football and Tom Rogic – will he even be brave enough to raise them?

We’ll find out soon enough.

As a Bellshill Bhoy I was taken to my first Celtic game in the summer of 1987. It was Billy McNeill’s return to Celtic Park as manager and Celtic lost 5-1 to Arsenal . I thought I was a jinx, I think my Grandfather might have thought the same. It was the finest gift anyone ever gave me when he walked me through Parkhead's gates.
