Ange Postecoglou set for first training session on Thursday, says report

Ange Postecoglou will take his first training session as Celtic manager on Thursday, according to Sun Sport. The 55-year-old Australian has completed his period of quarantine since arriving from Yokohama F Marinos and now is ready to get started with the team.

The whole team is not back yet with certain players that were on international duty yet to return but Postecoglou will take training for those that are at Lennoxtown – such as Vasilis Barkas, Tom Rogic, Albian Ajeti, Christopher Jullien and a number of youngsters.

The former Australian National Team boss has said that pre-season will be tough and hopefully his style of play can be engrained in the team ahead of a crucial start to the season.

Postecoglou was pictured with CEO Dom McKay in London for the game between Scotland and England at Wembley as Callum McGregor helped Steve Clarke’s side to an impressive draw.
For Postecoglou and McKay, their day trip to London is the beginning of an enormous venture into building Celtic back towards a league title this season as well as regaining the two domestic trophies from St Johnstone. A number of players are needed in key positions before The Champions League qualifiers and Ange will need to use pre-season to determine who can work in his system.
