Ange toasts Celtic’s extraordinary” Treble haul

Ange Postecoglou has labelled Celtic Football Club’s recent Treble haul as “extraordinary”. The boss spoke to the media ahead of today’s Scottish Cup Final match-up with Billy Dodds’ Inverness Caledonian Thistle side and remarked at how this most recent chance to win another domestic clean sweep is quite something.

The former Australia head coach referenced the fact that perhaps in certain footballing circles or cultures you would by all means see this sort of thing over a period of time – decades maybe – but that for it to happen in such a short and condensed few years is unquestionably out of the ordinary.

Without question, this football club is built on a rich tapestry of winning silverware and since the turn of the millennium and the arrival of Martin O’Neill, we have been ferocious in our quest to attain more and more trophies to display proudly in the Parkhead Trophy Room.

Today we have a chance to add to that glorious and illustrious history and Ange has asserted that it will not be for him personally this latest instalment of Hoops history, but rather, a fitting tribute and testament to all the players and staff at the club and those that work daily to ensure we remain the benchmark in Scottish football.

Have a listen to the boss below…

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
