Anxiety in the Celtic support is understandable but it’s time to show some patience

It’s understandable that Celtic supporters are feeling anxious, but time to show a bit of patience. Celtic supporters are getting a bit anxious over the imminent arrival of Brendan Rodgers. We of course want a new man in place as soon as possible, but there is no rush to do so, and with a deal as big as this one the club will be working hard on every possible detail.

We have an element in our support who are not known for their patience and always think the worst. Falling for fake story’s by Twitter accounts on the wind up doesn’t help them either.

We’ve of course seen this movie before. Two years ago we pursued Eddie Howe for what felt like an eternity only for it to go pear shaped at the final hurdle. It was assumed that Howe was going to be our new Manager but as we now know it collapsed, apparently due to problems with his coaching team.

In the end it was meant to be as we appointed Ange Postecoglou and we never looked back.

I’m sure with Brendan Rodgers it’s different, we only started negotiations over the past few weeks and it looks all but confirmed. I’m sure some point today or over weekend or even at the start of next week, Brendan will be paraded at Paradise for a second time. Time for some patience before the bag of cans announcement.

About Author

An ordinary everyday Celtic supporters hailing and still residing in Govan in the shadows of the enemy. I’m a season ticket holder. I Witnessed my first Celtic game in 1988 and have attended when I can ever since. Growing up in the 90s I witnessed Celtic at their lowest, and now appreciate the historic success we enjoy today. I enjoy writing about this wonderful football club and hopefully will continue to do so. I’ve always been a keen writer and initially started this a hobby. My ambition is to one day become as good an author as my fellow Celtic Star colleagues.

    Totally understand what you’re saying
But as fans were just like kids at Christmas want it to come now 😁

  2. “ but as we now know it collapsed, apparently due to problems with his coaching team”

Translates as … Eddie didn’t like what Lawwell was lining up for him …

  3. Knutsen seems to be a odd character in football these days, has both ability and loyalty, knocked back Ajax and put it out that he wasn’t leaving Bobo mid season as they were 8 points clear and going for a third title.

Once Brenda does a runner down south again we need to throw everything at getting Knutsen.

I honestly don’t care if he comes. He will swagger in and we’re to pretend all is good and he are forgiven until he does it again. Kennedy would be better option right now at least he does genuinely love the club
