BBC pundit left seriously impressed by the talents of Celtic talisman

Football pundit, Robbie Savage has commented on Celtic’s recent impressive performance against Rangers on the weekend, singling out Kyogo.

The Hoops travelled to Ibrox to face Rangers at Ibrox on Sunday. Celtic had to deal with an Ibrox filled with only home support, all cheering against the Bhoys. Although Brendan Rodgers’ starting line-up was slightly weakened due to various injuries, he still managed to outplay Micheal Beale’s side and take all three points from Ibrox.

A singular goal ended up separating the two sides at the end of the second half, with a world-class finish from Kyogo allowing the Bhoys to go one up just before halftime. The BBC 5Live 606 presenter, commented on the game, speaking from a position of neutrality, and concluded that Celtic were the better side in the match. he also added a few comments on Celtic’s goal scorer, Kyogo, saying that he probably should have had a first-half hattrick. Speaking on the show on Sunday evening, Savage said…

“As a neutral in this, I watched the game and I thought Celtic were the better team and I thought they deserved to win the game. And I thought Kyogo’s pace and his finish, as a striker, it was a wonderful, wonderful finish and he could have had a hattrick in that first half.”

Savage can often adopt stances to provoke his Celtic-supporting co-presenter Chris Sutton into barbs. However, he did accept that the better team won.

Kyogo actually scored with the harder of the three chances but what a strike it was. There was definitely a surreal feel after the ball hit the net with no away fans in the ground. All that could be heard was the discontent from the home fans.
