Beaton and Dallas tonight, Dickinson and Aitken on Sunday

Celtic travel to Dundee this evening for the Scottish Premiership match against Dundee United as the Scottish Champions look to get their season back on track after a punishing run of three consecutive defeats across three competitions…

These of course were the first three matches in charge for new Celtic manager Wilfried Nancy and after a 2-1 defeat to Hearts in the league, a 3-0 home defeat to Roma in the Europa League and on Sunday at Hampden Park a 3-1 Premier Sports Cup Final defeat to St Mirren, it’s fair to say that Celtic needs to get a good result to narrow the gap on leaders Hearts and frankly to buy the Frenchman some much needed time ahead of Sunday’s fixture at Celtic Park against Aberdeen.

The Scottish FA has confirmed the match officials for both these vital Scottish Premiership matches involving the Hoops.

This evening’s match at Tannadice between Dundee United and Celtic will see John Beaton taking charge, assisted by David McGeachie and Scott Anderson, while Andrew Dallas will be heading up the VAR operation with Gary Hilland assisting him this evening.

Then on Sunday at Celtic Park for the Celtic v Aberdeen match in the Scottish Premiership the referee will be David Dickinson, with Ross Macleod and Ross Nelson running the lines. Greg Aiken will be assisted by Ross Hardie on VAR duties.

But before that it is all about getting the three points at Tannadice, never the easiest place for Celtic and also Wilfried Nancy’s first match outside of Glasgow.

Jim Goodwin’s side are without a win since late October but the former St Mirren boss will be looking to replicate his old club’s tactical approach from the Premier Sports Cup Final to exploit the new system Wilfried Nancy is trying to implement at Celtic.

It’s an 8pm kick-off at Tannadice this evening and the match is live on Sky Sports. For subscribers based outside of Britain and Ireland, the match is also available via the club’s own channel, Celtic TV.

  1. Having Beaton and Dallas thrust on us by the SFA tonight is insult to injury when we are at our lowest.
But it is also deliberate rubbing salt in our wounds.
Make no mistake, Willie Collum and the other departments within the SFA are loving this, and who do we have to thank for this?
The moronic so called fans, and Brendan Rodgers.
Congratulations to you. You have managed to do what every club in Scotland, including two clubs from Govan, every referee, every SFA official, Government Official and Police Branch have failed to do for years!
So give your moronic, childish selves a pat on the back!
Masquerading under the name of The Green Brigade and other “Supporters Groups” you are now officially destroying our club. Destroying our success.
