Bernabei heading to South America on Brazil’s transfer deadline day

Bernabei apparently offski, but won’t that leave us a bit short?…

Alexandro Bernabei is Inter’s new reinforcement. He arrives from Glasgow Celtic. Sources from Scotland confirm that it is already a #TratoHecho (done deal)…

BERNABEI IS ON THE WAY TO INTER ➜ The left back is very well thought out in terms of quality-price ratio, assuming a key role in the hands of Coudet. He is sharper than Renê, but less of a builder. ➜ Offensively, he would generate advantages with his projection-speed-overflow.

So Alexandro Bernabei is apparently heading for the exit door with a proposed move back to South America to sign for Brazilian side SC Internacional. According to reports in South America by credible sources it’s very much likely to happen in the coming days and is likely to be a loan move for the £3.75m Ange Postecoglou signing.

Details of the move are a bit sketchy at the moment, but it will most possibly be a loan deal. It won’t come as a surprise despite Alexandro playing well in his last few appearances, it’s quite clear that Brendan Rodgers doesn’t rate him.

The last straw for Rodgers was the desperately poor defending at the back post at Celtic Park a few weeks ago when Bernabei was responsible for the late equaliser that cost Celtic two points.

The only problem I see is that it leaves us short in the left back department for the ever so important title run in. Greg Taylor has been prone to niggly injuries this campaign and if he were to face another spell on the treatment table then it would leave us with a huge dilemma.

It would probably mean Liam Scales being moved to left back or even young Mitchel Frame would get an opportunity. Both wouldn’t be fazed, but I still can’t help but think it’s a strange decision to let Bernabei go at this stage of the season.

The transfer window in Brazil closes tomorrow and it looks like Bernabei’s going to be a deadline day signing, as he heads to the Celtic exit door.
