Billy Stark names four young Celts in Scotland U19 squad

Former Celtic midfielder Billy Stark, now managing the Scotland Under 19 side has named four young Celtic stars in his twenty man squad for forthcoming trio of home qualifiers for the European U19 Championship.

Scotland take on Iceland, Kazakhstan and France between 16-22 November. And Stark has included Celtic’s Mathew Anderson, Adam Brooks, Mackenzie Carse and Ben McPherson in his squad.

Iceland v Scotland is taking place at Firhill in Glasgow on Wednesday 16 November (kick-off 7.30pm) while it’s a home tie for Scotland v Kazakhstan on Saturday 19 November with a 3pm kick-off down at Somerset Park in Ayr. That’s also the venue for the third game, this time Scotland v France which will be played on Tuesday 22 November at Somerset Park in Ayr with a kid-off time of 7.30pm.

Best of luck to the four young Celts who will be representing Scotland at Under 19s level in these three qualifiers and of course our best wishes extend to Billy Stark, a major player for the club during our centenary season.
