Former Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers looks set to seal a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia. The 52-year-old is reportedly close to agreeing a move to Al Qadsiah, which would take the Irishman to the Saudi Pro League. Rodgers, who was massively successful during his time at Paradise, left the club with frustration of the club’s lack of recruitment and progress.
Now, The Athletic report that Rodgers is close to an agreement to become the Saudi club’s new Head Coach.
Ex-Rangers Chief Executive James Bisgrove moved across to the Saudi club, who are based near the Bahrain border, and looks set to link up with Rodgers. The Irishman, who won 11 trophies during two spells in Glasgow, will be looking to get back into the game.
Rodgers is expected to take his backroom staff with him from Celtic, including stalwart John Kennedy. It was suggested that Rodgers would look after his staff and take them with him after they followed him out the door at Celtic Park.
Rodgers’ concerns at Celtic were widely publicised but the scorched earth message from Dermot Desmond was met without a response by the former Liverpool man. It s clear that he was content that supporters would be able to see for themselves where the issues at the football club were.
This was rumoured long before BR left Celtic—The Celtic Board and many in the Press knew about this and that is why they are gone . It’s obvious that the Celtic Board , as we know ; with their eminent professionalism and great business brains did nothing to entice two great servants of the club to stay .
Actions like this is why we are now in a frightful mess . I was never an advocate of , ” Sack the Board ” chants because this is washing your dilty-linnen in public and playing into the hands of the anti-Catholic and anti-Celtic press . The Celtic Board must now take a long hard look at themselves and realise that they can no longer treat their fans like children and realise that , ” There is no smoke without fire” . They must realise that :-
1) That 95% of Celtic fans do not have a political nor an anti-board agenda and only have Celtic’s best interests at heart .
2) They must be aware of the statement by Jock Stein that , “Without fans , football is nothing” .
3) They must come down from their Ivory -towers and realise that apart from Financial matters there is something seriously wrong with the governance of the club under their watch .
4)They must recognise that :- Recruitment is an absolute shambles ; Player developement is non- existant ; players are dropping like flies with hamstring injuries ; the team has not scored from a corner -kick for more than a season ; the team are over-playing the ball and are reluctant to ” Shoot-at-goal” when the oportunity arises ; players lack Upper-body strength and are easily pushed-off the ball .
I could go on and on , and none of this is caused by the supporters . The Boar are not fools so they should realise that they must stop their ,” Back-slapping ” and get rid of their , ” Why buy a Rolls- Royce when a Ford will do ” policy . They must treat all fans with dignety being aware that they are not enemies but the life-blood of the club . They must live up to their ” World- class” statements :- employ a Manager and coaching -staff ,with proven ability ; sign players to the limit of affordability and most of all make peace with fan groups and the ” Green Brigade ” making them aware that they have no greater prvileges than other fans .

The club was incorporated into a company after issuing shares, the shares stated this, the club stated it on it themselves!!
Every AGM from then till its death in 2012 the annual report given to shareholders stated on it that the company WAS the club.

In order for the club and company to be separated, they would have had to disincorporate and this would have been announced to every shareholder and to the stock exchange, with every shareholder compensated.
This, of course, never happened.
