Brendan Rodgers set to see off yet another Rangers manager

Brendan Rodgers looks to have seen off another Rangers manager in his time as Celtic manager. The Irishman was asked about Philippe Clement in December 2023 and replied that Rangers have been coming for a number of years and that he had seen off a number of Clement’s predecessors despite the furore from the media.

Now, it appears that Rodgers will come up against another manager in the Rangers dugout with Martin set to be dismissed. As Celtic came from behind to beat Motherwell, Rangers dropped further points with a 1-1 draw against newly promoted Falkirk.

Rumours on social media are circulating that Martin will depart the Ibrox club tomorrow after a difficult period since joining the club. Rangers sit in 8th with just one win in seven Premiership games.

Celtic are due to face Rangers in the Premier Sports Cup Semi Final at the beginning of November, it appears that Rodgers could come up against Barry Ferguson again.

The behaviour towards Martin has been unacceptable and the scenes at the Falkirk Stadium were shocking, with Martin being forced to exit via a side door. The former Scotland international looked utterly dejected at FT as personal insults were directed towards him.

  1. Crap. Rodgers has done nothing to influence Martin’s position, and would be better looking at his own.

    • You hit the nail right on the head there!
Rodgers hasn’t done anything to deserve excessive praise since he came back.
In fact, he blew a treble last season when it was easier to win it!
