Brilliant as Moussa Dembele weighs in following Celtic’s win at Ibrox

Former Celtic striker Moussa Dembele has weighed in on this afternoon’s Glasgow Derby by aiming a barb at Rangers. The big Frenchman currently plays for former Rangers manager Steven Gerrard at Al Ettifaq but that didn’t mean he wasn’t tuning in to check on the happenings from Glasgow earlier today.

A goal from Kyogo sealed the victory for Brendan Rodgers’ Celts and Moussa took to Twitter/X to celebrate, stating that Ibrox was Green and White (as usual).

Hopefully Moussa will be getting stuck into Gerrard about the result. Although, if things don’t pick up for Michael Beale, he could find himself putting the cones out for Gerrard in Saudi.

Elsewhere, the Celtic manager heaped praises on his team for standing up to the challenge at the home of their rivals. There were no away fans meaning that all 50,000 inside the ground were Rangers fans and they were at their worst, creating a toxic cauldron to intimidate the Hoops. Albeit, there was no adverse impact upon Celtic as they coped and earned their victory.

It is an excellent win for Celtic but there is a lot of improvement to come from this team and the manager will be delighted by the signs from his team today.
