Brilliant: Welsh club dedicate away shirt to Celtic and Jock Stein

Welsh club Llanelli Town AFC have announced that they have dedicated their new away shirt for the 2023/24 season to Celtic and Jock Stein. The immortal Stein managed Celtic to the club’s greatest success in 1967 and si remembered as the greatest manager in the club’s illustrious history; however, he had a period as a player with the South Western Welsh side.

Now, in a link between the club’s roots as well as in clever marketing ploy, the Welsh side have fashioned their away shirt in the Green and White Hoops. The shirt is available for £35 and you cant help but think that it will sell out more successfully than any Llanelli away shirt has done in the past.

Stein won ten Scottish League Championships, eight Scottish Cups, six League Cups and one European Cup but there were numerous other highlights in what was a simply sensational tenure as manager of the football club. In the Green Brigade’s tifo, Stein’s image was created in a stunning visual across the Jock Stein Stand.
