Callum McGregor stunning right foot shot from the edge of the area just before the interval levelled the score at 1-1 after it looked like Croatia were toying with Scotland in the win or bust match for both nations this evening at Hampden Park.

The Celtic Star’s Player of the Year (thanks to Sandman’s wonderful Definitive Ratings throughout the season) was tonight’s goalscoring hero – he incidentally was outstanding at Wembley but underscored by the mainstream media – in an exciting first half.
Scotland started brilliantly but yet again failed to take their chances and then came the sucker punch. It looked a long way back for Scotland as Croatia gained the initiative with their goal on 17 minutes but they didn’t factor in the Celtic man’s liking for a goal at the national stadium.
So it’s 1-1, next goal the winner? Going to be some second half…Come on Scotland!

Thank God for that Callum McGregor strike. Croatia had been all over Scotland and totally dominating the ball. It’s a miracle this game is 1-1 going in at the break.
