Cameron Carter-Vickers to sign new Celtic contract this weekend

Great news today on Cameron Carter-Vickers who is scheduled to sign a new contract extension with Celtic this weekend. And Celtic have reportedly knocked back an approach from an unnamed Qatar club for the United States defender, who is so crucial to this Celtic team.

The information comes from American football writer Larry Henry Jr and he has been accurate on CCV news from the time Celtic were looking to bring him to Glasgow and ever since. There has also been interest in this transfer window from south to the border with the likes of West Ham, Brentford and Nottingham Forest looking to sign Celtic’s Big Strong Man.

Cameron Carter-Vickers though is this weekend set to become the latest member of the Celtic squad to sign a long term contract extension with the club and that is absolutely brilliant news.

Brendan Rodgers last week spoke about how much Cameron and his parter love living in Glasgow and CCV relishing playing for a significant club like Celtic. After a number of years moving from club to club with a series of loan moves from Tottenham, it looks like Cameron Carter-Vickers is content having found a home and the ideal place to play his football at Celtic Park.

Hopefully he’s back in the side tomorrow afternoon against Ross County at Celtic Park where he’s sure to get an outstanding ovation from the Celtic support who just love our Big Strong Man.
