Earlier today at his Media Conference Neil Lennon confirmed that he is looking at bringing in one or two players before the close of the January window, with a right-back being a priority, given the imminent departure of Jeremie Frimpong, after the club accepted an £11.5million bid for the Want-Away former Manchester City academy player from Bayer Leverkusen.

The Celtic Star understand that Frimpong was prepared to stay at Celtic for another 18 months but was offered such an exciting career development plan by the Bundesliga side that he pushed hard for the move to go sanctioned in this window. Neil Lennon confirmed today that Frimpong had made his desire to leave the club perfectly clear both him and Nick Hammond.

So are you saying he was illegally approached or that the club gave Bayer permission to talk to him?
