Celtic Confirm Fixture Amendment

Celtic have confirmed that their clash with Hibernian in the final fixture before the split has been moved for TV purposes.

The fixture was pencilled in for Saturday 4 April with a 3pm kick-off for the game at Easter Road; however, as a result of Sky Sports selecting the game for TV, the game will be pushed back until 12 noon on the Sunday, 5 April.

Celtic dropped points earlier in the season after a 1-1 draw in Edinburgh against an ailing Hibs side. However, since Jack Ross took over, the Hibees have impressed as they have climbed up the table and sit 6th, within touching distance of 3rd place.

Celtic have found Easter Road a difficult away venue since the Leith club earned their promotion back to the top flight under Neil Lennon, winning just once in the Scottish Cup last season.

Celtic’s last trip was marred by Kevin Clancy denying Celtic two penalties as the game finished 1-1 thanks to a Kris Ajer OG and a Ryan Christie equaliser. Celtic will be hoping for better next time they go to Easter Road as the draw stuttered their progress in the league and shortly afterwards, Celtic were beaten 2-0 by Livi.

Neil Lennon’s side face Livi on Wednesday night in what is potentially one of the trickiest places to go in Scotland as Livi have conceded just 6 goals at home this season.
