Celtic considering move for former Man City goalkeeper

Celtic are reportedly considering a transfer move to sign Aro Muric from Burnley. The ex-Manchester City talent has been competing with No.1 James Trafford for the gloves under Vincent Kompany as they were relegated from the Premier League.

As reported by Sun Sport, Celtic have noted Muric as a potential contender to fill the vacancy left by Joe Hart, who will depart the club at the end of the season. The 25-year-old is a Kosovo Internationalist and will look for game time after moving to Burnley from City in 2022.

Muric made 14 appearances across all competitions after taking the gloves from Trafford but was unable to help them fall back into the EFL Championship. Despite their parachute payments, Burnley will be eager to cut their costs.

Celtic have been linked with a number of goalkeepers since Hart announced he would be retiring at the end of the current campaign. The Englishman has been immense for the club and stated that he doesn’t need to sell it to anyone thinking of coming. The send off that Hart received from Celtic Park was incredible as the 37-year-old’s impact at the club was recognised.

  1. Have Celtic really got £15m to spend on a Premier League goalkeeper?? Good luck if you have, he’s very good.
