Celtic are considering a move for wonder-kid Oscar Gloukh as manager Ange Postecoglou plots his January business already. The Australian has assumed a pivotal role as Celtic’s figurehead taking control of the club’s transfer business as well as stamping his authority on the pitch.

According to the Daily Record, the Israeli youngster is one of the brightest talents in European football at the moment and the club are said to be keen on attaining an eye-watering fee of £8m for him. Interest from a number of clubs has been reported in recent times.

The Maccabi Tel-Aviv attacker is currently averaging a goal contribution every 54 minutes in the Ligat ha’Al this season

Celtic have often dealt with agent Dudu Dahan but given the figures involved, this may be a bit more complex for Celtic. The Liel Abada example will be one that a number of Israeli youngsters will look to as example of the pathway to success. Abada is playing exciting football, he is being noticed and he is playing Champions League football.

It will be interesting to see whether this interest manifests itself. Celtic are looking at succession, moving forward and not standing still. The high-energy performances that Ange has the team producing will result in interest from a number of clubs from so-called Top Five Leagues and players will naturally look to move on after a period. Although given what Ange is building you wouldn’t be surprised if players wanted to stick around.
