Celtic dominate as PFA Scotland Team of the Year is announced

Seven Celtic players have been named in the PFA Scotland Premiership Team of the Year. The Scottish Champions will be looking to secure the title next weekend at Tannadice but before that, Brendan Rodgers side will be eager to secure a Scottish Cup Final place tomorrow afternoon.

In an update on Saturday morning, it was confirmed that Celtic had once again dominated the PFA Scotland Team of the Year, as voted for by their fellow players.

Danish No.1 Kasper Schmeichel has been selected after a successful first campaign with Celtic. Consistent defensive duo Alistair Johnston and Cameron Carter-Vickers make up the backline with Rangers’ John Souttar and Hearts’ James Penrice.

In midfield, Reo Hatate and skipper Callum McGregor have been selected by their fellow pros along with Nicolas Raskin.

In attack, Dundee United’s Sam Dalby is named along with Nicolas Kühn and Daizen Maeda – who will both be touted as Player of the Year candidates.
