Celtic drawn with trip to face Alloa in Scottish Cup

Celtic have discovered their Scottish Cup Fourth Round opponents after the draw took placing following Brechin’s game with Darvel. Ange Postecoglou has already enjoyed life in the League Cup with a place in the showpiece Final booked next month; however, attention will turn in the New Year to the Scottish Cup as Celtic look to regain the trophy that they held for four of the last five years.

The Celts will face League One side Alloa Athletic away from home. It will be a tough game but it is certainly a favourable tie, considering some of the teams in the draw. Ange will not take Barry Ferguson’s team lightly and it should prove to be an entertaining fixture.

The games will be played the weekend of Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 January, 2022.

Celtic will focus on the Scottish Cup after the Winter Break; however, at the moment Ange and his team will be focusing entirely on Thursday’s game against Hearts. The focus will be building a lead at the top of the table going into the winter break and having that first piece of silverware back in the stadium.
