Celtic enter top 50 on the Football Brand Finance list

CELTIC have jumped into the world’s top 50 most valuable football brands, according to Brand Finance’s Football 50 2018 results that have just been released.

That’s worrying news for Dave King who is waiting for Celtic to fold like a pack of cards. Celtic had a huge year on year jump in this important annual survey which looks at the finances of each club and their global appeal as marketing brands.

Celtic are obviously hugely restricted by the lack of television revenue an exposure, outwit the Champions league, so predictably the English Premier League sides fair very well in this list, due to their huge television payments.

Have a look at our Progres below and note that the performance that will be reported this time next year will be even better.  And stop for a minute to consider where we’d be if we had access to a decent television deal, or played in the Premier League.

Yesterday Celtic revealed plans to invest £4million on the stadium over the summer, to include a new lighting system similar to Bayern Munich’s, completing stage two on the hybrid pitch installation and making improvements to the roof at Celtic Park.

There is no sign of the self proclaimed most successful club in the world though!
