Celtic are reportedly considering a pre-contract move for Burnley’s Robbie Brady. The 29-year-old has just months available on his deal with Sean Dyche’s side and The Sun claim that the Scottish Champions are keen on brining the versatile winger to the club.
With 54 caps for Ireland to his name, as well as 270 career appearances in England, Brady is a versatile winger, playing down both flanks as well as a left back – similar to Jonny Hayes. With Moi Elyounoussi and Diego Laxalt leaving in the summer, just Mikey Johnston and Greg Taylor will remain so the support of the Ireland International may be useful.
The club are preparing for a summer overhaul as Dominic McKay prepares to takeover as CEO. A number of star players are expected to leave, as is Neil Lennon after the club have suffered a woeful European campaign, a shocking League Cup exit and multiple dropped points. There will likely be a huge exodus of players in the summer. Odsonne Edouard, Kris Ajer, Olivier Ntcham and Ryan Christie could very well seal exits from the club as well as the raft of loanees returning to their parent clubs.
Great to see the support for @KanoFoundation this week and we @thecelticstar want to do our bit to help.
