Celtic face competition from Man United to sign promising youngster

We’ve seen that transfers have been blown out of proportion in recent years, so it’s understandable that clubs will look to hoover up as much young talent as possible.

It’s debatable if that’s a great situation for the actual players, but if a club can sign 15 youngsters for a nominal fee and one of them break through, then it’s still cheaper than signing an established player for a big fee.

Clubs in Scotland have been dealing with players moving down south at an early age for a while now, so Celtic need to act even quicker if they want to land the best talent.

According to a report from The Sun, Celtic are trying to see off interest from Man United to sign Ross county youngster James Graham.

The report indicates that he’s already impressed on a trial at Old Trafford, so that does make it sound like they would be favourites to land him at this point.

He’s been impressing in County’s youth teams but hasn’t made the step up to senior football for now, so that does make it sound like he’s one for the future rather than now.

He’s only 15 so it probably wouldn’t take a big fee to land him, but it’s certainly a name to look out for in the future.
