Celtic facing interest from Germany to sign Crystal Palace youngster

Celtic are reportedly eyeing up Crystal Palace youngster Jesurun Rak-Sakyi. The 18-year-old is available on a free transfer in the summer as he is yet to agree a professional deal with the Selhurst Park outfit. The Daily Mail are reporting that Celtic are facing a battle from West Ham, Everton as well as Bundesliga sides, Schalke and Borussia Monchengladbach.

The pacey-midfielder will likely be inundated with offers from clubs as he looks to progress his career. Celtic could be an option should the player wish to follow the development plans of Jeremie Frimpong, moving from a Premier League Academy to the Paradise club.

There are also the examples of Virgil Van Dijk, Moussa Dembele and Victor Wanyama in recent years proving that Celtic can nurture talent before letting them move on.

Celtic signed highly rated Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Liam Shaw on a similar deal but it would seem that there will be no deal to bring Ramsey to Celtic. The club will be facilitating an overhaul of the footballing department with a new Director of Football likely to be arriving before the new manager. Fergal Harkin of Manchester City has been widely tipped to assume control of the footballing department ahead of a new appointment of manager.
