Celtic supporters have been having another laugh (yes I know!) at theRangers expense, after UEFA’s offcial admin account put up highlights of the high scoring matches in this year’s UEFA Champions League group stage and the newest Ibrox club appear in it TWICE!

Officially the worst club in Champions League group stage history, Giovanni van Bronckhorst and his men were on the end of some severe batterings in European competition this year – both home and away. Having been downed by Napoli and Ajax, Liverpool also recorded a 7-1 thumping over the hapless crop when Mo Salah grabbed the quickest hat-trick in UCL history too!

Well, safe to say the Celtic masses have been loving this harmless review of the Champions League group stage of 2022/23, and hot off the back of defeating the 11-year-old club 2-1 in our League Cup Final this past Sunday, it looks like there will be even more pain to revisit for the fanbase over in Govan and yet even more delight for the Hoops supporters.

They must be close to tears over the way and this will do nothing to soothe their injuries of this year. In truth, we have just been the better outfit so far and it shows no signs of changing for the foreseeable future either. Mr. Van Bronkhorst wasn’t well received when he pointed to the obvious gulf between his side and those in the UCL too. I’m afraid the other mob have always had fleeting delusions of grandeur and that’s why instances like this are magnificent to bask in.
