Celtic, Glasgow – Let’s make history tomorrow

Tomorrow is the Scottish Cup final, the final game of the season as the Scottish game draws to a close for the summer, and we have a chance to end it on a high, as treble winners, for a record eighth time.

Media speculation is overshadowing what is going to be a great occasion and that isn’t fair. We need to put any other thoughts to the back of our minds and look forward to what promises to be a great day out.

Hampden in the Sun, the chance to make history, the player and manager deserve our full backing tomorrow and nothing less.

Come kick off tomorrow Hampden will be awash with an overwhelming majority of green and white. Let’s roar the side on and create a bit of history. As a support we’ve enjoyed some incredible days at Hampden since we lost that penalty shoot-out to a Championship side in April 2016 and Hibs went on to lift the trophy that season – they were a Championship side too!

So while we’ve beaten the likes of Hearts, Hibs, theRangers, Motherwell and Aberdeen mostly a few times since then we can take nothing for granted against Inverness tomorrow.

And we owe it to ourselves to give the team maximum backing from the moment that they walk out for their warm-up to the final whistle and hopefully the celebrations beyond.

What happens after that is out of our hands but as a support it is our club that is aiming to win the Scottish Cup tomorrow and in doing so complete a remarkable world record of trebles. People come and go, sooner or later, but the Celtic story continues and we must all do our best to add to the Glory and the Dream tomorrow at Hampden.

An ordinary everyday Celtic supporters hailing and still residing in Govan in the shadows of the enemy. I’m a season ticket holder. I Witnessed my first Celtic game in 1988 and have attended when I can ever since. Growing up in the 90s I witnessed Celtic at their lowest, and now appreciate the historic success we enjoy today. I enjoy writing about this wonderful football club and hopefully will continue to do so. I’ve always been a keen writer and initially started this a hobby. My ambition is to one day become as good an author as my fellow Celtic Star colleagues.
