Stop worrying about others, Celtic still has the resources to remain the best side in the country, they just need to use them…
Some Celtic supporters have been guilty of overreacting when it comes to the challenge of our city rivals, and pretenders to our throne, the 14 year old club known as the Rangers.
A percentage of hoops supporters have falsely spooked themselves into believing that a Rangers title win would not only give them the bragging rights, but push them ahead of Celtic as the country’s top club.
One of the major reasons for that belief is that a title win down Govan way, could also clinch automatic Champions League qualification and the riches that go with it, forming the opinion that the Ibrox club could outspend us and become the prominent force in Scottish football.
Whilst a title win and Champions League qualification could revitalise our rivals, it wouldn’t exactly give them a huge advantage over the most successful side in the history of Scottish football.

Granted, qualification for the cash rich Champions League would be a huge financial boost to the Ibrox club, but it would take much much more than a £40 million cash injection to push them ahead of Celtic in the financial stakes.
Celtic still lead the way when it comes to boosting the highest financial resources in Scottish football, due to having the biggest season ticket sales, more lucrative kit deals, and sponsorship deals. Celtic is streets ahead of the financial basket case that is the latest Ibrox club, a club who are forever producing negative financial results.
You only have to look at the regular financial figures released by both clubs to understand that it would take much much more than Champions League qualification for the blue half of Glasgow to topple the Green half.

Celtic boost a massive cash reserve, and can use that to their advantage and consolidate their place as the country’s top club. They just need to utilise it. That is our biggest concern. Celtic this season is our own worth enemy, with the Board picking a fight with the Celtic support which has led to protests and a merchandise boycott with totally unnecessary and prolonged bans on supporters and fan media adding to the internal strive.
Celtic need this all to end as soon as possible, especially with season ticket renewals looming. Tomorrow Celtic can get our title challenge back on track with a win at Dundee and the supporters will do all that they can push the team towards the much needed three points.
Let’s just win the league and make this Ibrox threat worry a complete non-issue.
Just an Ordinary Bhoy

Doesn’t matter if we have a gazillion in the bank . If we dont buy DECENT 1st team ready players instead of getting loan players who quite frankly are so crap they cant even get a game for their own club, then this cycle of pish will keep on going
The worry isn’t one title. It’s how our club is run. We are regressing in almost every aspect while the rest of Europe adopts best practice. Yes #angers 2.0 have been a mess however make no mistake, if they secure Champions League money they will gear up for more. And that means spending. On players & resources geared to European ambition. In comparison we are geared to “compete” domestically in a relatively poor league. What we need isn’t a big bank balance. It’s a plan to develop and a Management team capable of realising European ambition. So in that context we’re light years behind!
So, I’m not over reacting. I’m recognising we are at a crossroads, and if we don’t take the correct turn we could very well throw away an unsalable advantage. That would be unforgivable!!
The money factor within our club is tending to dominant factors, to much for my own liking.
Course it’s the main factor in the recruitment of players, and no denying that it remains a massive problem for ourselves to resolve imo?
But that factor this season, is masking over, the massive drop off in form, regarding key players, along with no consistency factor within them imo?
When you consider that scales and yang could be regarded as potentially high up on the charts, regarding this issue, especially when both players would be regarded as squad players in quality terms. Then a massive problem exists within our core group within our squad building process at present imo?
Admittedly the amount of new arrivals hasn’t resolved a problem that was in existence, before this season even kicked off imo?
Even now, there’s no lack of the amount of players available to MoN and Maloney.
But there still remains a lack, within the quality factor and especially the consistency factor getting produced?
To this degree, certainly wasn’t expected, and not to many seen coming either for ourselves?
Despite our own problems created, our rivals have hardly taken full advantage of what we opened up for themselves either imo, and that’s Despite ourselves getting out spent this season?
Therefore, this amount of money spent, can be a red herring within Scottish football, that to many can be blinded by imo?
We already know, that heading into the summer period, we are already well down on numbers, to even claim that any form of a settled squad is in existence for ourselves?
Even winning this title this season, still potentially leaves a longshot of having formed a squad over the summer period. That is going to be considered as good enough for CL football in the making imo?
The simple reason is that the core group that Ange formed, is potentially no longer in existence for next season.
So on the bigger picture, that potentially has to be our main focus, and potentially looking at a considerable amount to be spent, upon trying to form a new core of group players, within our squad building process?
One thing proven this season, just within the loan market, is that process isn’t as easy as some are trying to claim.
Especially when it’s easier to point the finger, despite not knowing how the recruitment process is undertaken, with the decision making that goes on within it imo?
