CELTIC have been handed a potential injury boost with the news that Zlatan Ibrahimovic may miss next months match with a hamstring concern. The teams meet at the San Siro next Thursday and it could be a must win for Celtic, should results this week be favourable to Neil Lennon’s side progressing.
However, the Swedish striker may be missing after suffering a hamstring injury after scoring twice against Napoli at the weekend. The Daily Mail is reporting that the 39-year-old is going to be out for ten days meaning he is likely to miss Celtic’s trip to Italy.
A win over Sparta Prague and Milan beating Rennes/Rennes beating Milan would open the group up again for Celtic should they win their remaining two fixtures. Europe may already be a foregone conclusion with Celtic having just a solitary point from three games. To compare this with last year, when Celtic had a harder group – Neil Lennon’s side had seven points.
