Celtic are interested in signing Sparta Prague’s David Moberg Karlsson according to Czech outlet Denik Sports. The 26-year-old attacker was a thorn in Celtic’s side during the Europa League group stages when Celtic whimpered to back to back 4-1 defeats to the Prague outfit.
The pace and trickery of Karlsson helped put Celtic out of the competition and with just eighteen months remaining on his deal, Celtic could see him as an attacking reinforcement with Moi Elyounoussi’s loan deal running out.
Celtic will be looking to make a few recruitments in the January transfer window and the wide areas may be something that Neil Lennon may want to strengthen considering James Forrest is still sidelined with Mikey Johnston just coming back from an injury.
Kalsson would be available for around £1.5m and would likely be in-line with a more recognised recruitment model. The Swedish International has played in Scotland before, having spent a loan spell at Kilmarnock in 2014. However, the attacking midfielder has played most of his football in Sweden despite being at then-Premier League side Sunderland.
The report also claims that there are a number of clubs, including from his native Sweden, are interested in signing the attacking midfielder who can play on both sides as well as up front.
