Celtic have been linked with Sinisa Sanicanin, the Bosnian Internationalist, who is available on a free contract in the summer. Sanicanin, who has been impressive with the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team amassing eight caps in the last year. His contract will expire in the summer with Serbian side Vojvodina and the 25-year-old is weighing up his options.
According to Telekom (via The Daily Record), Celtic face competition from Galatasaray and Besiktas if they are to land the towering defender. Celtic missed the opportunity to sign defenders in the January window, with Ben Davies, Mark McKenzie and Filip Benkovic all slipping through the net.
Shane Duffy will return to Brighton, Kris Ajer is expected to be the subject of interest from a team in one of the top five leagues, leaving Celtic with just Christopher Jullien, Stephen Welsh and Nir Bitton.
Celtic need to reinforce the backline both in the centre of defence and at right back with just Anthony Ralston remaining in the summer. An International like Sanicanin may be exactly what Celtic need, considering the player is part of a defence that have conceded just twenty goals so far this season, sitting third in the league.
