Celtic merchandise tease provokes transfer window backlash

We want new players more than yet more merchandise is the message frustrated supporters send to Celtic after snooker themed tease…

Celtic today once more teased the realise of yet more merchandise, most likely a new replica kit on their social pages and it’s went down as you’d expect with the supporters, like a lead balloon.

We can expect an announcement at 8am tomorrow morning, but supporters have had enough judging by the reaction on social media and you can’t really blame them.

We’ve already seen the release of two new tops amongst other clothing items in conjunction with Adidas, and they are quite expensive to say the least. Let’s not forget that a big percentage of us have also just renewed season tickets, so it’s been a bit of a challenging time for the bank balance of the average working class supporter, the lifeblood of this football club of ours.

What the support wants more than anything else  is new signings, not new merchandise. We put our hard earned cash into the club and in doing so have contributed to the PLC bulging bank account so it’s only reasonable that we expect to see an investment on the playing front.

Teasing us with new merchandise is fine and dandy but it’s not something we are all waiting on, including Brendan Rodgers. And in the context of the transfer window business it’s getting rather irritating. We want to investment into the first team, not more emptied out of our pockets.

  1. Every transfer window I get worried that some one would come in for our players and the the board get more money in but that money isn’t going into the transfer budget celtic are know all over the footballs world Every game home and away fans sepend hard earned money when thers a cost of living and the bord can’t just now and then decide to pring in quality players then leave it for a couple of sessions then don’t back the manager that what stops celtic going to the next stage especially in Europe I WILL NOT BE GETING ANY MERCHANDISE IT THE BOARD GET BEHIND RODGERS AND BRING IN QUALITY PLAYERS WE ARE GOING TO NEED A PROPER STRICKER NOT A STRIKER THAT HASENT HAD A GOOD SEASON DIDENT MATER WHAT HE HAD DONE IN THE PAST BECAUSE SCOTISH AND EUROPEAN PLAYERS ARE A LOT BIGER AND STRONGER AND GOALKEEPER ARE TO

  2. I don’t even open Celtic emails anymore just delete their latest top, leisure wear, pre-match leisure wear, WHAT I REALLY NEED Celtic is clothing to watch new signings in, which I already have, JUST NEED SOME QUALITY SIGNINGS NOW

    • IThe Celtic Board are either completely bereft of hearing what. supporters are saying and blind not to see supporters letters and comments.oras I believe don’t give a toss about about Celtic or the supporters. If they continue down this road, they will be very rich and a club with no fans.please remember we got rid off One board. It really hurts to write this I have followed Celtic all my life Season Ticket Holder for 53yrs and I’m 75 just now HH
